Meet the Humble Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Humble
When you call Vance Gate Repair Humble, the person who shows up isn’t a rotating cast of subcontractors. It’s one of our people, someone we’ve trained on the same documentation standards Adrian Vance brought out of commercial access-control work in 2014. Our Humble crew is small on purpose. Every technician who works on your gate has been background-checked, wears a uniform, and arrives with a name and photo already sent to your phone. They also share one habit that’s hard to train: they write everything down. What they found, what they adjusted, what they replaced. That’s the job.
The team here sees the same things you see when you pull into a driveway in Humble: gates that stick after a hard rain, motors that groan when the overnight temperature drops, keypads with sun-faded buttons. We know this area’s soil shifts and how that affects gate posts over time. More importantly, we know how to fix it without selling you something you don’t need.
Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Vance Gate Repair since 2017 and carries the commercial-grade documentation habits on every residential job he touches. He’s the one who will show you the limit switch before and after he adjusts it, and he’ll explain what he’s doing in plain English while he’s doing it. Marcus specializes in swing-gate geometry and motor retrofits, particularly on older estate gates where the original installer is long gone and the wiring diagram never existed. He keeps a notebook in the truck that’s older than some of the gates he services. Before this, Marcus did industrial conveyor maintenance, which he says is the same job with longer belts.
Elena R. – Senior Installer
Elena came to us from a steel fabrication shop in east Texas, and it shows. She can read a weld like most people read a stop sign. On new gate installations, Elena handles the structural scope: post depth, hinge alignment, rack placement, and the small corrections that keep a gate square for years rather than months. She’s certified in MIG and stick welding and has a particular knack for cantilever gates, which almost nobody enjoys installing. Elena is also the person on the crew who will tell you if a post is fine and the hinge is the problem, even when replacing the whole gate would be more profitable for us. That’s not a corporate talking point. It’s how she works.
Devon P. – Service Coordinator
Devon is the voice on the phone at 3 a.m., because someone at Vance Gate Repair Humble answers the phone at 3 a.m. He started as an installer in 2019, moved into scheduling and dispatch in 2022, and still carries a multimeter in his personal vehicle just in case. Devon is the reason you get a written price before work begins: he prepares the scope, confirms the parts, and makes sure the number handed to you is the number on the invoice. He’s also the one who sends the technician’s name and photo before the truck rolls. If you’ve ever called and gotten a straight answer instead of a callback window, that was Devon.
Adrian Vance – Owner
Adrian founded Vance Gate Repair in 2014 after years of commercial access-control work, where every job required a wiring diagram and every decision had to be documented. He brought that standard to residential gate service because he couldn’t find anyone else doing it. Adrian still takes service calls when the schedule demands it, and he’s the one who wrote the 365-Day Done Right Promise after a repair didn’t hold and he decided the company should stand behind it for a full year. He doesn’t write mission statements. He writes work orders. The photograph log you receive after every job, the written part number, the flat price before the first tool comes out: that’s Adrian’s standard, and it’s non-negotiable.
Ten home-service brands. One standard. That’s Adrian’s operating rule, and the Humble crew hears it the same way every new technician hears it on day one: write it down, show the customer, keep the record.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard isn’t a poster in the office. It’s a set of rules that govern every job, and the Humble team follows them without exception. Clause 1 means the price is written and handed to you before any work starts. Not an estimate range, not a ballpark, not a “we’ll see once we get into it.” A flat price. Clause 4 means every visit leaves a documented photo record: what we found, what we adjusted, what we installed. That record goes to you and into the job file. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise means if something isn’t right within a full year, we come back and make it right at no charge. No argument, no expiration date games, no re-quote.
The reason this works is consistency. The same nine automation brands serviced across our trucks: LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule. The same documentation on a residential driveway as on a commercial access-control site. The same person answering the phone, any hour, any day. That’s what “one standard” means when the truck pulls up in Humble. It means you’re getting the same service at 2 a.m. as you’d get at 2 p.m., and the proof is in the paperwork.
If your gate needs a second look, or you have a written estimate from another company you’d like us to review at no cost, bring the paperwork. If you’d rather just schedule a repair, the phone number is (346) 423-6136. A live person answers. That’s not a guarantee most companies make. It’s one we’ve kept since 2014.
